Geolocation is an estimate

IP geolocation comes from provider-maintained address data. It generally estimates network registration or egress location; it is not a device GPS position or a person's location. Precision for city, region, postal code, and time zone varies by address range and provider coverage.

Some current-visitor fields may come from Cloudflare information attached to the current request; provider lookups are made by the Worker through the configured data source. A source label tells you where a field came from, not that every field is available.

ASN and network use

An ASN identifies an autonomous system, a group of networks participating in Internet routing. Carriers, cloud platforms, and enterprises can all operate ASNs. Labels such as ISP, mobile, or hosting describe a provider's network classification; they are not abuse or risk findings.

Missing fields and source differences

IPinfo Lite provides only the basic country, continent, and ASN information listed in its documentation; absent city, ISP, or proxy fields remain unknown or unsupported. IP2Location fields depend on the selected service and actual response. If providers differ, check the source and query time; do not interpret missing data as safety.
