Applications can use different proxy settings, DNS resolvers, and network stacks. IPVeya reports only checks it actually runs.

Applications may use different paths

A browser, shell command, Claude Code, and an API SDK may use different proxy variables, system networking settings, DNS resolvers, or runtime environments. A public egress address observed in a browser does not automatically describe another process's egress.

IPVeya does not currently connect separately to Claude web domains, Claude Code endpoints, or the API to compare paths. To investigate a specific application, use diagnostics supported by that application or its official documentation, while following its terms of use.

Limits of browser errors

CORS is a browser restriction on scripts reading cross-origin responses. A CORS error can occur after a server has received a request; it alone does not establish that the network is unreachable. Extensions, content blockers, DNS, TLS, proxies, and firewalls can also produce different failures.

What IPVeya results mean

The current-IP report describes the request that reached IPVeya. The WebRTC report describes ICE candidates gathered in this browser run. Failed or unknown states stay as reported; they do not mean that no issue was found and should not be generalized to other applications.
